Reading mommy blogs at 3 in the morning and thank god I never thought about throwing my baby out the window. I can't imagine being in that state, it's so...crazy. I was afraid of post-natal crazies so I didn't want to give birth in Japan during winter (I thought I had that seasonal affliction disorder) and thank god thank god!
I guess I should thank my mom rather than any god (Zeus, Brahma, Loki) because she was the one I wanted to throw out the window. Thanks Mom! :D
Seriously though, my baby is far from a placid and easy baby but she was never that difficult that I would harbor ill feelings to. She's different from Joaquin who's just about the easiest baby ever but not a little terror that they said would happen if the first one is an angel. I'm a lucky bitch, aren't I?
Ginny turns 7 months in a few days and the girl is becoming a handful! She's so active and kiti-kiti and prefers standing up more than any position so we have to sponge-bathe and put on her diapers while she's standing up. I don't know how I'm gonna do this alone in Japan because it takes 2 people to clean her. Best if 3 because she likes to be entertained.
Bar the cleaning up part, she's a very easygoing baby and her constant smile melts my and everyone's hearts. Not her laugh though, you gotta work for that with a really slapstick repertoire (ala Joaquin).
