Because dreams don't always come true

On the way to school and office -
Joaquin: Mama. when you were a kid, did you dream about being a school taker?
Me: What? You mean school teacher?
Joaquin: No, school taker!
Me: What's that?
Joaquin: Because you take me to school, see?!!
Jon laughs. Hmph.
Joaquin (sensing NO for an answer): So what did you want to be when you were just a kid Mama??
Me: An astronaut.

:( Sniff.

It doesn't matter. I love my "job" now. My life is taking care of my family. Maging - what is that? - ilaw ng tahanan. Most, if not all, people ask me how it is, if I don't get bored, if I don't miss working. Well, I definitely don't miss working and THERE ARE lull times when I am alone and where I find that I cannot, for the sake of my sanity, do house chores again and have to find something else to do. Usually I do find it. I study, I read, I listen, I talk ~to other people ha :)~ I try to go to the gym and be healthy. So I hope I don't become what my Mama says happens to housewives - DULL and STUPID . Yes, she's brutal that way. I say people become that even if they don't become housewives anyway. When they don't introduce new things in their lives, when they don't try to learn more, when they fall into comfortable shells of routine. Doing the same things over and over again will of course make anyone dull whether you are a housewife, a programmer, or an astronaut.

Ok, probably not astronauts. Because they have the coolest job ever. Up there with archaeologists and the guy who guards the Belvedere in Marie Antoinette's estate. :)

***Soooo****

I love listening to this when I do my house chores. It's very provencal farmer's wife in a checkered apron with a flourishing vegetable garden at the back of the cottage and smells of homemade bread wafting from the oven. Mmmmm...

dear j,

i'm working again. just for a few months. let's see how long this will last. since we don't have kids yet, it's harder to claim the ilaw ng tahanan title ;) so i succumbed to the parinigs of D and of course my parents (they don't approve of me being jobless hehe) so ayun. anyway, as long as you're happy, and J is happy, then you have nothing to worry about. can't say i was bored though. i was watching too much drama on tv to get bored. bwehehe.
anyway, curious lang, do you ever watch japanese series on tv? or japanese movies for that matter? pero wala atang translation dyan no? they're fascinating :)
nga pala, where are the rest of the paris pics?
as for me, ano ba ang dream ko noon? stewardess! hahaha it was because of an ad on tv which showed good looking ladies in pretty uniforms and hats (?!). superficial, and weird. haha.
