The Journey

I know I should be embarrassed traipsing around Hongkong airport in Uniqlo roomwear (translation: pambahay). But I was too excited to care and a bit nervous to delve into it. I had a grand total of Y13,240, appr. $130, in my wallet and no credit card so if Jon didn't show up at our boarding gate, god forbid, and I take that flight on my own, then that will be my whole allowance for a 10-day stay in Paris. On my 3rd trip back from looking dolefully at those sweet Starbucks coffee I couldn't afford, he finally appeared at the gate with spanking new luggage. I was so happy I didn't mind that one of the first things he asked me was why was I naka-pambahay? Nakakahiya. I love him so.

Food was so-so but service was above-average.
6:30 AM at Charles de Gaulle going to the metro: first of 984 photos of my 2nd most favorite city.
Me: 2 tickets to Nation, sil vous plait.
Girl at counter: Where? *confused*
Me: Nation?
GAC: ...ah Nashyo
Me: Oui, oui. (ang arte)
First of (feels like) a million rides on the metro.

Good to know: At the Airport Terminal 2, walk all the way to Hall C to get to the station for RER B. Tickets are EUR8,10 for one-way trip to Paris.
